VIN: 6S69R6Q492403  (VIN incorrect on ebay listing JUL-AUG 2010)
76 Gold/Tan/Chocolate Top// Milan Convertibles, Inc Simi Valley Conversion
Owner: JOECAT; Lancaster, PA; 111K; Asking $9,500 on ebay August 2010

[Aftermarket: dual exhausts, underdash guages, air cleaner, in-dash stereo, gold hood ornament, steering wheel, antenne in  rear quarter, engine and drivetrain, does not have the 1976 Seville factory grille but a grille from a later year Seville.  Has Seville (not the Milan) fender emblems-Owner has the original Milan emblems...took them off to preserve them-Has Fisher Body door sill emblems.  Car was originally white.

JUL 2010 Owner States: Owned This Milan For Close To 25 Years. Actually My Second One,  The First One I Bought Was A Copy Of The Real Milan, This is an Original One-A Few Ways To Tell: Number One- If It Has The “Pricless” Milan Fender Emblems (Which I Took Off For Safety And Are In Perfect Condition With All Prongs Attached). Secondly, That It Has The Fiberglass Bucket Where The Rear Seating Used To Be-The Fakes Were Homemade And Usually Carpeted.   Car Came Stock With A 350 Oldsmobile Motor- Which Wasn’t Good Enough For Me- So In Its Place  Installed A New 455 Oldsmobile with Custom Headers, Dual Exhaust, Electronic Ignition, Electric Fuel Pump...The Motor Was $8500 15 Years Ago.  Also Has A Stronger 342 Posi Rear End And A Brand New Turbo 400 Transmission, Built By Anderson Transmission, If You Not Local, They Are The Best Around- Totally Overdone, But With The Correct Rpm Stall Converter- I Always Hated That Jump Feel With The Higher Stall Converters.   Most Importantly, Car Was Not Built As A Hobby Car For Sunday Drives...Built This Car With A Team Of Experts. Seriously, Everything Was Either Over Built Or New: Brakes,  5 Core Radiator, Upgraded All The Suspension, Ball Joints Tie Rods, Larger Sway Bar, Urethane Bushing, Change The Pitman Arm, Changed The Power Steering Motor To That Of A Trans Am, With A Quicker Ratio,   The List Goes On- I Was Making Big Money Back Then And All The Team Had To Do Was Whisper And It Was On The Car.  Just Look At The Engine Details- Too Much To Type Over Again.

Owner States: True Milan- I personally spoke to Milan about two months ago. Mine is for sale with a 455 olds motor- posi, 342 gears and a new trans- Gold with a chocolate top.  Has tan fiberglass insert behind seats.

September 2008:  Owner States: I have a Seville Milan convertible that I am looking to sell.  It is a true blue Milan convertible- it has many upgrades:
new 455 old big block
new 400 trans
dual exhaust
all new shock
stereo and all professionally and I mean PROFESSIONALLY done.

76 WHITE/RED/RED TOP;  Simi Valley Conversion

1976 Milan Roadster Convertible. The picture is from a Milan Convertible Co. sales sheet.  Know it is a 1976 from an interior picture showing the unique for 1976 steering wheel and eggcrate grille.  Note that this car has the standard Seville hood and grille and NOT the Milan installed custom fiberglass hood and Rolls-Royce-style grille.  Also note the Cadillac factory option wire wheels and the Milan installed custom paint stripes.  These wheels were only available in 1978 and 1979.

76 WHITE/RED/WHITE TOP WITH WHITE VINYL BOOT; Milan Coach Builder (Artist Rendition)

Milan Coach Builders' artist rendition of a Milan often featured in advertising and media articles.  White with red interior and white top, white vinyl convertible boot, Milan RR hood and grille and Cadillac factory wire wheels.  This is not a picture of an actual car.

76 White/Red/White Top?// Milan Coach Builders Simi Valley Conversion
Has Milan installed fiberglass hood and stainless steel RR type grille

Owner States: Milan Convertible Co. [Milan Coach Builders, Simi Valley, CA] : A custom two-door roadster designed and built on the Seville chassis.  A reported 500 units were built from 1976 to 1979 (to my knowledge there are no official production figures - these numbers are based on body numbers seen on surviving cars) . Some say the factory shipped brand new Sevilles direct to the coach builder, but I doubt it; more likely the "chop shops" ordered the cars from the factory or from a dealership without specifying the intended use! [Agree-tommy]

[Picture tag on the internet stated this is a 1977 Milan...but interior pictures of the steering wheel show it is really a 1976-tommy]
