79/Silver Pearl/Silver/Black? Top; Milan Convertible, Inc. Semi Valley conversion
Owner Mark; 84K; San Rafael, California 94901
Owner States (Mark): Owner States: I purchased the silver 1979 Milan VIN 6S69B99450780 a year ago May 2009 from the second owner who had purchased it two years earlier from the original conversion owner. Two weekends ago I had this Milan at Pacifica, Ca. at the "Last Originals" car show. The original owner lives in Pacifica and attended the show and gave me more history on his Milan. The color when newly painted was a deep pearl silver but now is faded out to a mellow silver. The car is all original including the top in excellent condition. July 16, 2010. [Car has rare thermometer on left outside mirror, casette radio, auto dim headlights, aftermarket dual exhausts, red pinstripes...originally painted red-tommy]
This Milan is silver with red pinstripe. Photographed at the 2007 Pacific Coast Dream Machines Show, Half Moon Bay, California.

This Milan Roadster was built by Milan Coach Builders. The car has the original Haartz vinyl top and boot and appears to be in original condition with about 48,000 miles. It has "Milan" emblems on the front fenders and a "Personalized by Milan Coach Builders" emblem in the each of the door sills. It does have the fiberglass boot behind the seats which was standard on all Milans built at the Semi Valley facility; the fiberglass boot was optional on conversion kits later sold by the Milan Convertible Co.

The vin # is 1R69b99500229 the license plate is the word TIRES. It has the original engine, transmission and paint. The odometer reads 58,000 miles. The car is in my garage and I have been restoring it for the past two years. I would like to find out the history about it but all I know is that it was on the 80's show lifestyle of the Rich and Famous and it has a sticker on the front window from the Balboa Bay Club 1985. Let me know if you know a way to find out it's history. It sat for 12 years before I bought it 2 years ago. The top has rear side windows that make it look better when the top is up. Its a 1979 but when I bought it the emblems were missing. I want to have the engine rebuilt to make it a daily driver. The back of the car is all leather. I've had the car about 3 years and really enjoy it.
This conversion has an aftermarket 3 window top and an aftermarket black leather wrapped fiberglass insert.

Owner States: Very Rare Cadillac Seville Milan Roadster. Rust free Southern CA car, This 2-seater was custom built by Milan in CA. These conversions were sold new through Cadillac dealers and only 500 Milans were produced between 1976 and 1979. (I have copies of factory brochures and dealer price lists to document) Vehicle is mechanically sound with a rebuilt engine and transmission (receipt), recent master cylinder and calipers, water pump, catalytic converter and nice Michelin tires. New battery and fuel pumps. Needs bumper fillers and some upholstery work. Top has a small rip. I have the optional Rolls-Royce style grille that goes with the car and some extra parts, engine computers, etc. Right side looks same as left, no damage or surprises, glass is good, call me if you have other questions or want me to take some more pictures and email them to you. Easy project.

79 MILAN SILVER/BLUE?/WHITE AFTERMARKET TOP
SAUSALITO, CA; POSTED JAN 2009 THIS IS THE SAME MILAN THAT IS IN LAS VEGAS, ABOVE
NONOWNER'S OBSERVATION: There was a brief period when domestic car makers weren't building ragtops and aftermarket convertible conversions filled the gap. This conversion of a 4 door Cadillac Seville was done with a kit sold by Milan Coach Builders of California. The Milan competed against the Mercedes SL and suffered in comparison. The belt-line is high and the wheelbase is short. This one was parked in Sausalito CA. VIN 6S69B99450780

1979 Cadillac Seville Cabrio seltener Milan Ausführung Note Milan installed hood and grille
Seller States: Very rare Cadillac, [only 250 of them made?], Mechanically, the car runs and drives good. The engine starts right up and runs smooth and quiet. Transmission shifts in to all gears nicely. Interior is in good condition just the usual small signs of aging, no cracks in the dash or seats. Body is rust free, straight and provides a accident-free impression, hood, trunk lid and doors all line up just fine. The original paint looks very representable for - as one may expect from a car this age . The chrome is in a good shape. Frame and floors have NO rust, holes or what so ever. The rear Bumper Filler (model Seville) will need replacement. Convertible top needs repairs or replacing, top mechanism works. [tommynote: Most likely a Simi Valley Milan; has Milan RR hood and grille and appears to have both "Personalized by Milan Coach Builders" emblems on door sills and Milan emblems on front fenders]

Owner States: 2 black Milan emblems on the 2 fenders. 68k miles. Told that the engine was replaced. The car is painted white, which is not the original color. Think car was originally a greenish gold/olive color. The top is brown and the interior is olive. All mine needs is a nice paint job, a new top, and to redo the interior. Factory hood and grille. Car is in California near Simi Valley.
yes my car has a fiberglass insert behind the seat ....when i bought the car not too long ago the person said that it was done in simi valley by milan...or if some bought it and ask'd for it to be done is some thing im not sure of....but from what I understand the car has been painted 3 times so far..my son and that other man found that the orig color was a creamy yellow then was painted like a goldish color then white and i guess i can understand the olive green int. with the dark top it would have matched the creamy yellow very nice also the goldish color matched also....the white with the olive int is not a color i would have picked but i guess the owner must have felt it was easier to maintain or?? but the int is in great cond. i just don't care for that color red seems more like me or white int. either one
